Welcome to the Uniswap Foundation Security Fund Hub! Please find below more information on the fund and the marketplace mechanism.

Executive Summary

The UFSF consists of two key components: a subsidy program for selected projects and an open marketplace connecting all Uniswap ecosystem projects with security providers. The marketplace approach achieves cost savings compared to individual negotiations, while ensuring high-quality audits from vetted providers.

Key Facts:

Applications for security providers are open from May 5, 2025 until May 15, 2025, 23:59 UTC. We welcome both traditional audit firms and alternative security providers (in particular bug bounty platforms and audit contest providers).

Note that alternative security providers will initially only be eligible for open marketplace services, not subsidized audits.

What is the Uniswap Foundation Security Fund?

The UFSF is a comprehensive security initiative that combines a subsidy fund with an open marketplace. While the subsidy fund supports selected projects with up to 100% coverage of audit costs, the open marketplace serves the broader Uniswap ecosystem by connecting projects with verified security providers. This initiative supports projects in particular by

  1. streamlining the discovery of and engagement with suitable and high quality security service audit firms,
  2. bundling the buying and negotiation power of the whole Uniswap Protocol’s ecosystem and channeling competing security service providers in a marketplace to achieve better terms and pricing than projects could achieve on their own with individual reach-outs,
  3. providing standardized legal frameworks to reduce friction and accelerate the audit procurement process, saving projects valuable time and legal resources, and
  4. subsidizing the security audit costs of projects in an amount of up to 100% of the audit fees per project.
